Why prep makes all the difference

Dermaplaning requires precision — and precision is harder when you're managing stray hairs at the same time. The prep band takes that variable out entirely, keeping your entire hairline clear so you can work right up to the edge without interruption or stray hairs catching on the blade.

The gentle tension it creates at the forehead and temples also helps keep skin taut, which makes the blade glide more effectively and reduces the risk of catching or dragging, particularly around the hairline where the skin is thinner and more delicate.

What it's made from

Soft plush towel material that's gentle on skin and comfortable to wear for the duration of your session. Features a signature bow detail. One size fits all — fully expandable to accommodate all head sizes and hair types.

Comes with: 1 × reusable cotton mesh bag for storage and machine washing.

How to use

Slip the band over your head and position it across your forehead, pushing all hair back from your face and hairline. The band should sit comfortably without pulling — adjust until your hairline is fully clear. Proceed with your dermaplaning, cleansing, or skincare routine.

Care instructions

Hand wash gently with mild soap and warm water, or place inside the mesh bag for a cold, gentle machine wash cycle. Air dry flat — do not tumble dry. The band will hold its shape and softness wash after wash.

We've said no to plastic packaging on the Dermaplane Prep Band. Instead of single-use wrapping, your band arrives in a reusable cotton mesh bag — use it for storage between sessions or as a washing bag when it's time to clean the band.

Your order ships in a kraft eco-friendly mailing box and a HeroPack compostable satchel made from renewable materials.

To compost the satchel: remove labels, cut into pieces, and place in your home compost bin. It breaks down naturally within 90–120 days.
