Your shave makes a difference - we're excited to announce that Make My Shave is now proudly supporting Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

As a small business born from the simple desire for a better way to shave, we’ve always believed in “shaving the way to a better world.”
It’s a belief that’s shaped everything we’ve done — from planting thousands of trees across Australia to volunteering and donating during flood clean-ups. And now, that commitment is growing again as we help protect some of the native wildlife that makes Australia so special.

Through our new partnership with Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, a portion of all proceeds from every purchase will help fund the care and rehabilitation of native Australian wildlife as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local environmental and wildlife initiatives.

This means that your everyday choices — the ones that help your skin feel its best — can continue making you feel as good on the inside as well as the outside.

Why Currumbin Wildlife Hospital?

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, operated by the National Trust of Australia (Queensland), is one of Australia’s busiest and most respected wildlife hospitals, treating more than 16,000 injured, sick, and orphaned animals every single year — including koalas, kangaroos, birds, reptiles, and marine life.

What makes them truly special is the depth of their impact.

Their work extends far beyond emergency care: they lead vital conservation programs, participate in wildlife research, and support the long-term survival of vulnerable Australian species. And because so much of their work relies on community support, every contribution helps give native animals a real second chance.

After meeting with the team and seeing the hospital firsthand, Mike and I knew this was the right partnership for us — and for our community.

Jenny’s Story: A Second Chance at Life at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital

Meet Jenny — a sweet, three-year-old koala whose story touched all of us the moment we heard it.

Jenny was brought into Currumbin Wildlife Hospital after being hit by a car in Helensvale, QLD. Like so many native animals quietly living alongside us, she was simply trying to navigate the world we’ve built around her — and through no fault of her own, she found herself fighting for her life.

When Jenny arrived, she had suffered significant trauma. The veterinary team quickly discovered injuries to her nose, skin, abdomen, and bladder — the kind of wounds that require delicate, expert care.

But at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, she was in the best hands.

Polly — one of the Hospital’s remarkable wildlife carers — is pictured below with Jenny. With the support of the dedicated vet team, Polly has been by her side every step of the way, making sure Jenny feels safe, comforted, and given every possible chance to recover.

One piece of good news: Jenny tested negative for chlamydia, a disease threatening wild koala populations across Australia. She will now be vaccinated to help protect her long-term health — an important step in safeguarding her future.

Jenny is currently resting in the Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, where she’ll spend time healing before moving into the Koala Rehabilitation area. Here, she’ll have space to rebuild her strength, climb again, and relearn the movements that will support her return to the wild.

And that’s the goal — always.

Once the veterinary team is confident that Jenny is strong, healthy, and ready, she’ll be released back into her natural habitat, where she belongs.

Her story is just one of thousands cared for by Currumbin Wildlife Hospital every year — and it’s why supporting this incredible not-for-profit charity means so much to us.

When you choose Make My Shave, you’re helping give precious animals like Jenny the chance to heal, recover, and return home.

This is the impact we get to make together. 💚
